Your site hacked? Part 5
We are still working and have worked through the weekend. Most of the sites are back online. Keep in mind that we are working on web site restores prior to getting to the cpanels which is also webmail users. We can only process one site at a time on the restores because we are dumping all previous files because the hackers dropped their scripts under various names hidden deep in individual site's file structures. We cannot risk simply uploading certain pages. Some of you have very large sites with multiple folders inside of folders inside of folders. Thank you again for bearing with us.
Everyone should have a backup copy of their site at all times no matter what. If you did properly do this, you'd have your site back online nearly immediately. As unfortunate as this is, it happens to people on a daily basis so let this be a personal learning experience to make sure you have a full backup of your site including your databases if you use any. Although databases were not affected, it could have been.
